我是深圳市中医院筋伤科的管宏钟医生，今天想和大家分享一下诊疗过程当中的一些温暖而又美好的小故事。

通常一些患者朋友很喜欢找有经验的医生看病，医生的经验又如何判断？我们医生的经验，其实来源于在给患者治疗过程当中的收获以及通过上千次的练习和近30年的中医熏陶、深入研究，让病人在很小针刺疼痛基础上达到快速止痛，力争长效治痛。很多在外国朋友看来很神奇的的临床止痛效果，是大量学习和不断练习的结果。

下面是一位来自德国友人的感谢，也非常感谢这位德国朋友的信心和信任。在我每一次的诊疗前，对于病人来说都是带着希望和一点点担心而来，我很希望通过自己娴熟的针刺技术来快速减轻病人的疼痛和心理压力，让平静的生活再次回到他们的身边，时隔半年后现在这个德国友人又重回到了他心爱的高尔夫球场，感受着运动带给他的快乐！

The first time I met Doctor Guan, he didn't look like a "real" doctor to me, at least not as the ones I usually met in HK and Germany who always wore tight gauze masks. He didn’t. He remained mild with a smiling face, instead of being solemn and rigid in the stereotyped image of traditional doctor. I easily let down my guard as a patient in front of him.

第一次见到管医生时，觉得他看上去并不像医生。之前我在香港与德国接触过的医生，全都戴着严实的医用口罩，态度严肃。他总是保持着亲切的笑容，没有医生那过于庄重刻板的样子，我几乎忘记我是来看病的了。

I have been struggling with my frozen shoulder for almost one year. I tried different things, such as ultrasound, massage, hot packs and so on, nothing worked. As a matter of fact, I didn't believe in Chinese acupuncture, but for the strong recommendation of my employee who has been quite successful case, I wouldn't have come here to try my luck.

一年多前我犯了肩周炎，期间尝试了多样治疗末果，包括激光、按摩、热敷等等。事实上，我也不大相信针灸这回事。若不是我中国员工的极力推荐，我不会来这儿。至少她已是成功的案例，我就试试运气吧。

I told Doctor Guan my symptoms, he listened, calmly responded by asking some simple questions and then asked me to move around my arms and shoulders. Then he made a tentative diagnosis and told me that I can take the long-round needles acupuncture.

我自述了我的症状，管医生听着，平静地问了我几个简单的问题，随后让让我做几个简单的手臂动作。初步诊断与分析之后，他决定让我做长圆针的治疗。

Sitting in the waiting hall, I searched the pictures of long-round needles from Google. At the sight of the size of the pin, I was wondering whether I made a right decision of non-using anaesthetic. It was my turn and too late to make any changes and I had to force myself enter the room. Doctor Guan told me that it would only take 5 minutes to get it done and it would turn out to be OK. During the operation, he kept talking to me with his usual, soothing reassurance, I was calmed down a lot. Yet surprisingly, even I could feel a slight pin prick when the needles were inserted, I felt barely pain.

等候治疗前，我上GOOGLE看长圆针的图片，看着那些图片，我有点忐忑不安了，怀疑不使用麻醉药会不会是个错误的决定。可是就轮到我了，来不及去做什么更改，我只有硬着头皮进去。管医生笑着对我说，只要五分钟，一切都会很顺利。手术开始了，他一直与我说着话，以那一贯舒缓安定的语气，我其实早就放松许多了。令我惊讶的是，整个手术过程，尽管我可以感受到针轻微刺入的感觉，却几乎不觉得什么疼痛。

I stood up from the operating table when the operation was done. I tried to move my arms. Wow, it is amazing that I already felt a whole lot better with my arms and shoulder. What magic skills? It is unbelievable. Doctor Guan, You are my hero!

当我从手术台站起来时，我试图着活动我的手臂。哇! 我的肩膀居然已经感觉好多了。这是什么魔法技巧？我难以置信，管医生，你是我心目中的英雄。

In the following two sessions of treatment, I have more communications with Doctor Guan and I come to learnt more about the secret of the magic. To master this traditional acupuncture and long-round needle acupuncture skill, Doctor Guan has put in thousands of practice and continuously delved into traditional Chinese medicine for nearly 30 years. I have once watched him how well he was needling. Any seemingly effortless skills in a quiet way is nothing but the result of accumulation over a long period of conscious hard work and efforts. I am lucky to meet such a doctor and have benefited from the essence of traditional Chinese therapy.

在接下来的二次治疗中，我与管医生有了更多的交流与接触，慢慢地了解到我眼中所谓魔法背后的秘密。管医生对传统中医有近30年的潜心研究，为了掌握传统的针灸与长圆针治疗技术，他投入千万次的练习。我曾经在治疗室亲眼看过他是如何娴熟地运针。其实，任何不动声色、看上去毫不费劲的技艺背后，不过是长时间、大量、刻意的努力积累罢了。我很幸运我能在中国碰到这样的大夫并受益于中医之魂。

"Every patient comes to me with full of anticipation and a little bit of worry. I really hope that my adept acupuncture skills can ease their pains and psychological pressure, and they can have the peaceful & joyful life back again." Doctor Guan added, “Every time I see the smiling faces from the patients who have been cured or relieved symptoms after my treatments, I have peace and joy from within.”

“每个来找我看病的患者，都怀着期望与一点点担心。我希望通过自己的针刺技术来快速减轻他们的疼痛和心理压力，让平静的生活再次回到他们身边。”管医生继续补充道：“每次治疗之后，看到患者病情缓解或痊愈，我内心有种平静的喜悦。”

YES. IT TRULY IS.

是的。确实如此。

As a foreigner who has run his own business in China for nearly 15 years, though Dr. Guan and me are from totally different background and growing-up roots, his words cast a poignant light on what is really important in life, making me again reflect on what has and does give life value. Every time when I have the positive feedback from customers - Your products are really cool! God knows how happy I am at hearing it. Your job is more than the paycheck, though it is very important, you can’t take pleasure in it and regard as worthwhile with it alone.

作为一名在中国创业已经近15年的外国人，虽然我与管医生来自完全不同的成长土壤与不同的背景，但他的话，让我又再次反思生命中那些已经给予我以及正给予我意义的东西。每当我的客户给予我积极的反馈，告诉我你们的产品真棒！老天知道我有多开心。工作，它的意义不仅仅的支付你生活的账单，尽管那也很重要，但那无法让你一直乐在其中并觉得它深具价值。

Now I returned to the over-busy and hectic lives again. Recalling the slice of my visiting experience with Doctor Guan, it is so warm and good. It is less important that I can pick up my golf playing again, and more important simply that the slice of memories I shared with those special people never seem to fade away, even as the years overlap one another. The happiness of life is made of such countless moments.

我现在又回到了紧张繁忙的日常中。回望这次在管医生的就医经历，它温暖又美好。不仅仅是我又可以重返高尔夫球场，重要的是与那些特别的人所带来的回忆永不褪去，甚至当年月更迭，这种感受不会变。美好的人生，都正是由无数这样的瞬间片段构成的。
